Understanding Drawdown Types
Static
The drawdown floor is fixed at your starting balance minus the drawdown %. Even if your account grows to $120K, the floor stays at $90K. Most forgiving type.
Trailing
The floor moves up in real-time as your balance increases. If you reach $110K, your floor becomes $99K (not $90K). Locks in gains — you can never lose your peak profits.
EOD Trailing
Like trailing, but the floor only updates at end of day. Intraday spikes don't raise your floor. More breathing room than real-time trailing.
