Fondeo Review: One-Step, Two-Step and Subscription Plans and Rules
Fondeo
Fondeo is a United States based crypto proprietary trading firm that funds traders on simulated accounts of up to $200,000 and pays out a share of the simulated profits in real money. It lists three evaluation formats: a One-Step Challenge, a Two-Step Challenge, and a monthly Subscription Challenge that resets your account on failure while the subscription stays active. Trading is done either on a Bybit demo connection or on Fondeo Terminal, the firm's own platform with TradingView charts and leverage of up to 1:100. Funded traders earn a starting profit split of 70%, rising to a maximum of 90%, with payouts in USDT or USDC. This review covers every plan, price and rule that Fondeo published on its own site as of 15 August 2026, and it flags one claim on the firm's homepage that its own review profile does not support.
Plans and pricing
Fondeo sells 15 plans in total: six One-Step accounts, six Two-Step accounts and three Subscription accounts. The One-Step and Two-Step plans are a one-time fee. The Subscription plans are billed monthly and are only offered in three sizes rather than six. Across every format the account currency is USDT.
| Account size | One-Step (one-time) | Two-Step (one-time) | Subscription (monthly) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5,000 USDT | $119 | $89 | $49 |
| 10,000 USDT | $219 | $159 | Not offered |
| 25,000 USDT | $399 | $299 | Not offered |
| 50,000 USDT | $539 | $399 | $150 |
| 100,000 USDT | $799 | $599 | $300 |
| 200,000 USDT | $1,399 | $999 | Not offered |
The Two-Step route is the cheaper entry at every size where both are sold, from $89 against $119 at 5,000 USDT up to $999 against $1,399 at 200,000 USDT. The trade-off is that it takes two passes instead of one. The Subscription route has the lowest upfront cost of the three at $49 per month for a 5,000 USDT account, and Fondeo states there is a $0 funding fee on it and that the account can be reset on failure for as long as the subscription is active. Fondeo also states that the challenge fee is refunded with the first profit split.
Rules and risk limits
Fondeo publishes a single rules document that applies across all three formats, and the limits differ by format. The One-Step Challenge has a 10% profit target, a 4% daily drawdown and a 6% maximum loss, which means equity must stay above 94% of the initial balance. The Two-Step Challenge gives more room in phase one: a 10% profit target, a 5% daily drawdown and a 10% maximum loss with an equity floor at 90%. Phase two of the Two-Step is lighter, at a 5% profit target, a 5% daily drawdown and a 5% maximum loss with a 95% equity floor. The Subscription Challenge carries a 10% profit target, a 4% daily drawdown and a 5% maximum loss with a 95% floor.
The daily drawdown is trailing: it is measured from the highest equity point reached during the day, so the floor moves up as the account grows. The maximum loss is checked in real time and includes unrealised profit and loss from open positions, so an open trade that temporarily pushes equity below the floor counts as a breach.
Minimum trading days are 10 for the One-Step, 10 for Two-Step phase one, 5 for Two-Step phase two and 10 for the Subscription. For a day to count, you must place at least 3 trades, each worth at least 5% of the initial balance, and the day's profit or loss must fall outside the range of minus 1% to plus 1%. There is no time limit on any phase.
Several further rules apply during evaluation. Every trade must carry a stop-loss, set within 5 minutes of opening the position using the TP/SL function; the first failure to do so is a warning with 1 hour to correct it, and a second failure closes the account permanently. Risk per trade is capped at 3% of the initial balance and total exposure at 25%, with the combined notional value of open positions limited to 2 times the account balance. No single day may contribute more than 40% of total profit, and a minimum win rate of 50% is required. Martingale, cross-account hedging, automated or bot trading, and news trading are prohibited, and low-cap altcoin positions are restricted to 5% of the initial balance, where low-cap means a market capitalisation below $100 million or 24-hour volume below $5 million. Scalping, overnight positions and weekend holds are permitted.
On funded accounts the profit target, time limit, minimum trading days and consistency rule are all removed, but the drawdown, stop-loss, risk and order-size rules still apply. The profit split begins at 70% and increases by 5% every 4 months, reaching 90% after 16 months. A first payout can be requested 1 calendar day after the first funded trade, the minimum is $100, and no more than 5% profit may be taken per payout, at which point a withdrawal is required before trading continues. Payouts are processed in USDT or USDC within 12 to 48 hours with no withdrawal fees. Accounts scale by 25% every 4 months on meeting profitability goals, to a stated maximum account size of $1,000,000 USDT, while total capital across all active accounts is capped at $200,000. KYC is not required to start or pass a challenge but is required before trading a funded account. Bybit and Fondeo Terminal are the supported platforms; MT4, MT5 and direct TradingView execution are not.
Fondeo's homepage displays a 5.0 rating "from 200+ reviews". The TrustPilot profile that the same page links to shows 3.0 from 9 reviews, checked on 15 August 2026. The two most recent entries on that profile, posted on 5 and 6 August 2026, are both 1-star and both describe disputes over a refund and a withdrawal. The named testimonials carried on the homepage itself are not attributable to that profile.
Pros and cons
Points in Fondeo's favour, all taken from its published rules:
- Three entry routes at 5,000 USDT, priced at $89, $119 and $49 per month, so the cost of a first attempt is low relative to the 200,000 USDT ceiling.
- No time limit on any evaluation phase, and scalping, overnight and weekend holding are all permitted.
- Payout terms are specific and published: 1 day to first request, $100 minimum, 12 to 48 hours processing, no withdrawal fees, and the challenge fee refunded with the first profit split.
Points against, on the same basis:
- The 90% profit split is reached only after 16 months of consistent trading, since the split starts at 70% and rises 5% every 4 months. The headline figure is the end point, not the starting one.
- The rule set is dense for an evaluation: a mandatory stop-loss within 5 minutes, a 50% minimum win rate, a 40% single-day profit cap, a 3% risk cap, a 5% minimum order size and a daily profit or loss that must land outside plus or minus 1%. Automated trading is prohibited outright.
- Public review volume is thin at 9 TrustPilot reviews, and the rating of 3.0 is well below the count and score shown on Fondeo's own homepage.
How Fondeo compares
The table below sets Fondeo against three other published crypto firms in the PropFirmMap database, using figures recorded as of 15 August 2026. Entry price is the lowest priced plan each firm currently lists.
| Firm | Profit split | Entry price | Plans listed | TrustPilot |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Fondeo | 70-90% | $49 per month | 15 | 3.0 (9) |
Breakout | Up to 90% | $20 | 6 | 4.8 (954) |
HyroTrader | 80% scaling to 90% | $89 | 6 | 4.1 (198) |
| 80-95% | $39 | 14 | 4.5 (45) |
Fondeo's starting split of 70% is lower than the 80% floor that Breakout, HyroTrader and SizeProp each advertise, and its 90% ceiling is matched or exceeded by all three, with SizeProp listing 80 to 95%. On price, Fondeo's cheapest one-time plan at $89 sits level with HyroTrader's $89 entry and above Breakout at $20 and SizeProp at $39, although Fondeo's $49 monthly Subscription is a different commitment shape from a one-time fee and is not directly comparable. Where the gap is widest is review volume: Breakout carries 954 TrustPilot reviews and HyroTrader 198, against Fondeo's 9. Fondeo does list more plans than any of the three at 15, and it is the only one of the four in this table offering a subscription route.
Fondeo publishes its rules in unusual detail. The gap is not disclosure, it is track record.PropFirmMap
Verdict
Fondeo is a documented and specific offering. Its rules page states exact figures for every drawdown, target, payout and restriction, which is more than many crypto firms publish, and the pricing ladder is straightforward across all 15 plans. The Two-Step route is the lower-cost one-time entry at every size, and the Subscription route at $49 per month is the cheapest way to start.
Fondeo suits traders who trade crypto manually on Bybit or on Fondeo Terminal, who want no time limit on an evaluation, and who can work inside a mandatory stop-loss, a 3% risk cap and a 50% win-rate requirement. It suits less well anyone who runs automated strategies, which are prohibited, or who needs the 90% split early, since that level takes 16 months to reach.
The reservation to weigh is verification. Nine public reviews with a 3.0 average is a thin record for judging whether the published payout terms are met in practice, and the difference between that profile and the 5.0 from 200 or more reviews claimed on Fondeo's homepage is a discrepancy a trader should resolve before paying. Anyone considering a plan here should confirm the current rules and prices on fondeo.xyz directly, since all figures above were read on 15 August 2026 and prop firm terms change without notice.
