Propanium Review: Plans, Rules, and How It Compares
Propanium is a proprietary trading firm operated by Proprietary Strategies s.r.o., a Czech company registered at Viklefova 1605/17, Zizkov, 130 00 Prague under company number 23577878. It runs simulated evaluation and instant-funding programs on cTrader, and its own footer states that trading is simulated in all stages and that it does not accept client deposits.
The catalogue is built from six challenge families sold across seven account sizes, from $1,000 up to $100,000, for a total of 31 plan and size combinations. Pricing starts at $1.00 for the STARTER CHALLENGE and reaches $691.20 for a $100,000 INSTANT account. Traders keep 90% of profits on five of the six families, and 100% on the STARTER CHALLENGE.
Plans and pricing
Propanium's pricing carries a mechanic that is worth understanding before comparing it to any other firm. Each plan is sold with a profitable-days option: 0, 2, 3, 4 or 5 days. Choosing 5 profitable days carries a $0 add-on and is the baseline price. Requiring fewer profitable days costs more, and the add-on is charged in addition to the baseline. The prices below are the 5-day baseline for each family and size.
| Family | Profit target | Daily drawdown | Max drawdown | $2,500 | $10,000 | $100,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| STARTER CHALLENGE | 5% | 3% | 6% | $1.00, sold only at the $1,000 account size | ||
| FLASH | 8% | 8% | 5% | $4.80 | $23.20 | $226.40 |
| TWO-STEP | 5% per phase | 4% | 7% | $4.90 | $23.60 | $339.60 |
| BOOST | 5% | 3% | 10% | $6.60 | $29.00 | $399.20 |
| ONE-STEP | 7% | 4% | 7% | $8.00 | $34.00 | $436.40 |
| INSTANT | No target | 3% | 8% | $18.40 | $76.80 | $691.20 |
The five priced families all cover $2,500 through $100,000 in six steps. The STARTER CHALLENGE sits outside that ladder: it is sold only at $1,000, its payout total is capped at $100, and Propanium states it is available until the first payout, one at a time. INSTANT is the only family with no profit target, since the account is funded from purchase. BOOST is described by the firm as a challenge where the trader passes first and pays later, and its plan cards carry a second payment component listed separately from the headline price, from $4.50 on the $2,500 account to $180.00 on the $100,000 account.
Every headline figure above assumes the trader accepts a 5 profitable-day requirement. Waiving it entirely moves a $2,500 BOOST from $6.60 to $21.30, a $10,000 ONE-STEP from $34.00 to $85.00, and a $100,000 INSTANT from $691.20 to $2,246.40. The cheapest configuration and the fastest configuration are not the same purchase.
Rules
Propanium publishes one general rules page that applies to every family, with per-family parameters layered over it. Drawdown is measured on equity with an end-of-day reset, and the daily drawdown resets at 00:00 UTC. The firm states that a challenge is marked as failed only when a hard rule is breached, and it lists those hard rules as the maximum drawdown, the daily drawdown, any special rules shown in the challenge preview, and the inactivity rule. Trading account inactivity must not exceed 30 days, and logging in is sufficient to reset it.
There is no consistency rule and no minimum or maximum number of trading days. Weekend trading, overnight holding, and the use of multiple devices and locations are each explicitly allowed. Automation is allowed provided it is not high-frequency, sub-second trading. Arbitrage, latency trading, order book spamming, hedging between accounts and large one-directional volume are prohibited. News trading is allowed, but orders opened in the two minutes before or after a high-impact event are automatically disallowed, and the same window applies to earnings calls.
Since 18 August, accounts are governed by a mechanism the firm calls Smart Exit. Rather than requiring a stop loss, Propanium closes all open trades automatically once floating loss reaches 2%, or 1% on INSTANT and 1.5% on BOOST. A Smart Exit is not a breach and the account continues trading. It is not free, however: each activation reduces the profit split by 10 percentage points, down to a floor of 60%.
Payouts are requested on demand and the firm states it processes them within 24 hours. The minimum payout is $15. Two ceilings apply. Each account's total payouts are capped at 50% of its initial balance, so the firm's own example notes that earning $10,000 in payouts requires a $20,000 challenge rather than a $10,000 one. Separately, every funded account must first build a profit buffer equal to its daily drawdown, and that buffer can never be withdrawn. Payouts are made in crypto.
FLASH is marketed on a wide daily drawdown, and at 8% it is the widest of the six families. Its maximum drawdown is 5%. Because the account breaches at 5% overall, the 8% daily allowance cannot be reached in practice. FLASH is also restricted to Forex and XAUUSD at 1:30 leverage, where the other five families trade forex, metals, energies, crypto, indices and stocks at 1:100.
Strengths
- Entry pricing is unusually low. At $1.00 the STARTER CHALLENGE is the lowest recorded entry price among the 135 published CFD firms we hold prices for, and the cheapest standard-family plan, a $2,500 FLASH, is $4.80.
- The rule set is permissive and stated plainly: no consistency requirement, no minimum or maximum trading days, no swaps, zero commissions per volume, and automation permitted short of sub-second trading.
- Smart Exit removes the mandatory stop loss without turning a bad trade into an immediate account failure, and the firm publishes the exact cost of using it.
Limitations
- Propanium does not provide services to clients in or from 22 jurisdictions, including the United States, Russia, Ukraine, Iran and North Korea. The United States exclusion removes a large share of the retail market outright.
- Payout capacity is capped twice over: 50% of the initial balance per account, plus a non-withdrawable buffer equal to the daily drawdown. The STARTER CHALLENGE caps total payouts at $100.
- Payouts are crypto only, and each Smart Exit activation permanently reduces the profit split by 10 percentage points until it reaches 60%.
How it compares
Measured on all-in entry cost across the CFD firms we track, Propanium's nearest neighbours are Evercrest Funding, MasterFunders and RebelsFunding. All three are within $6 of Propanium's cheapest standard plan.
| Firm | Cheapest plan | Account size | Entry price | Profit split |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Propanium | STARTER CHALLENGE | $1,000 | $1.00 | 100% |
Evercrest Funding | Pay After You Pass | $10,000 | $5.00 | 80% |
MasterFunders | Speed Challenge | $5,000 | $5.00 | 80/20 |
RebelsFunding | Copper 4-Phase | $1,000 | $6.00 | 75% - 90% |
The comparison needs a caveat that the entry-price column hides. Propanium's $1.00 buys a $1,000 account whose lifetime payouts stop at $100, so it functions as a trial rather than as a route to meaningful withdrawals. Evercrest Funding's $5.00 buys a $10,000 account, ten times the balance for five times the price. Read that way, the honest like-for-like figure for Propanium is the $4.80 FLASH or the $4.90 TWO-STEP at $2,500, which places it alongside MasterFunders' $5.00 $5,000 Speed Challenge rather than below it.
Where Propanium does separate from this group is the headline profit split. It pays 90% on five families and 100% on the STARTER CHALLENGE, against 80% at Evercrest Funding and MasterFunders and a 75% to 90% range at RebelsFunding. That advantage is conditional: every Smart Exit activation costs 10 percentage points, so a trader who triggers it three times on a 90% account is on 60% and stays there.

Verdict
Propanium is a good fit for traders who want to test a firm's mechanics at a genuinely small outlay, who trade discretionary or automated strategies that are not sub-second, and who are comfortable being paid in crypto. The permissive rule set, the 90% base split and the absence of consistency and trading-day requirements suit traders whose strategies are irregular in tempo. The Smart Exit mechanism will suit those who prefer not to run a hard stop loss on every position.
It is a poor fit for traders based in any of the 22 excluded jurisdictions, for anyone who needs fiat payouts, and for traders whose objective is large withdrawals from a single account, since the 50% payout cap and the non-withdrawable buffer both bind. Propanium is also new to our catalogue, and its TrustPilot profile held 15 reviews when we catalogued the firm on 2 September 2026, so its payout record is not yet established at scale.
