Copy Trading

Definition

Automatically replicating trades from one account to another, allowing traders to mirror successful strategies.

How It Works

Copy trading (also called mirror trading or trade copying) duplicates trades from a source account to one or more target accounts in real-time. In prop trading, copy trading rules are strict: most firms prohibit copying trades between multiple funded accounts at the same firm, copying from other traders at the same firm, or using third-party copy services to manage accounts.

Some firms allow copying your own trades from a personal account to your funded account. Violating copy trading rules is a common reason for account termination.
