Hex Funded Review: Plans, Rules, and How It Compares
Hex Funded
Hex Funded is a proprietary trading firm offering simulated-capital CFD accounts on the Platform 5 trading platform. The services advertised on hexfunded.com are provided by Hex Funded Ltd, a Saint Lucia corporation registered under company number 2025-00452. PropFirmMap currently records 44 purchasable plans across seven model and variant combinations: Instant Funding (Standard and Pro), 1 Step (Standard and Pro), 2 Step (Standard and Pro) and 3 Step, in account sizes from $1.5K to $200K. Every one of those evaluations is sold with no time limit. The standard profit split is 90%, with an optional upgrade to 100% sold as a paid add-on at checkout, and payouts run on a 14-day cycle. This review covers the plan ladder, the risk rules attached to each model, and how the entry pricing compares with three CFD firms in the same price band.
Plans and pricing
Hex Funded sells the same six account sizes across most of its models, so the clearest way to compare them is to hold the account size constant. The table below shows the $50K account in each of the seven model and variant combinations PropFirmMap has on file, with the profit target, daily drawdown and total drawdown that apply to each. All figures were verified against the firm's own live product catalogue on 2026-09-07.
| Model ($50K account) | Current price | List price | Profit target | Daily drawdown | Total drawdown |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Instant Funding Standard | $178.20 | $324 | None | 3% | 6% (Trailing) |
| Instant Funding Pro | $168.85 | $307 | None | 3% | 5% (Trailing) |
| 1 Step Standard | $242.00 | $440 | 9% | 4% | 6% (Trailing) |
| 1 Step Pro | $112.75 | $205 | 11% | 3% | 6% (Trailing) |
| 2 Step Standard | $127.05 | $231 | 8% then 5% | 4% | 10% (Static) |
| 2 Step Pro | $92.40 | $168 | 9% then 5% | 4% | 7% (Trailing) |
| 3 Step | $127.05 | $231 | 6%, 6%, 6% | 4% | 8% (Static) |
The pattern that runs through the ladder is that the Pro variants cost less than their Standard counterparts and ask for more in return. At $50K, 1 Step Pro is $112.75 against 1 Step Standard's $242.00, but the profit target rises from 9% to 11% and the daily drawdown tightens from 4% to 3%. The same trade-off appears on 2 Step, where Pro is $92.40 against Standard's $127.05 and the total drawdown changes from a 10% static floor to a 7% trailing one. The lowest-priced plan on the whole ladder is the Instant Funding Pro $1.5K at $11.00 against a $20 list price, and the highest is the 1 Step Standard $200K at $561.55. There are no separate activation fees on any of the 44 plans, so the listed figure is the whole entry cost.
Hex Funded's homepage script advertises a 55% discount, but when PropFirmMap cart-tested the checkout on 2026-09-07 the coupon applied was 45% of the subtotal across six independently checked account sizes. The prices in the table above are the figures our checkout test observed, not the advertised rate. Promotional rates change, so confirm the final total on the payment page before buying.
Rules and risk parameters
Total drawdown is trailing on five of the seven combinations. Only 2 Step Standard, at 10%, and 3 Step, at 8%, use a static floor that does not move as the account grows. The two Instant Funding variants differ from each other on this point: Standard carries a 6% trailing limit and Pro a 5% trailing limit, both with a 3% daily drawdown and no profit target, since Instant Funding accounts skip the evaluation stage.
Minimum trading days vary by model. 1 Step Standard requires 5, the 2 Step and 3 Step models require 4, and 1 Step Pro requires none. Consistency rules apply for payout on four of the seven combinations: 20% on Instant Funding Standard, 15% on Instant Funding Pro, 25% on 1 Step Pro and 30% on 2 Step Pro. There is no consistency rule on 1 Step Standard, 2 Step Standard or 3 Step.
On payouts, standard requests open every 14 days from the date of the first trade, with each subsequent window opening 14 days after the previous eligible payout, and a 7-Day First Payout add-on brings the first withdrawal forward. Processing is stated at 48 business hours. The minimum withdrawal is 1% of the initial account balance or $100, whichever is higher, on most models, rising to 4% of the initial balance on Instant Funding Pro. Withdrawals below $2,000 are paid in cryptocurrency on ERC20 or TRC20, and withdrawals above $2,000 are processed through Rise Works, which runs its own separate KYC in addition to the KYC required before funding. The evaluation fee is refunded on the fourth successful profit-split payment, not the first. Hex Funded also publishes a Reward Guarantee stating that a trader is paid within 24 hours or the firm pays a 100% profit split.
The Hex Lightning Challenge
Hex Funded sells an eighth model, the Hex Lightning Challenge, which PropFirmMap does not yet list on its firm page. It is a single-phase evaluation with a 2% profit target, a 3% max daily drawdown and no minimum trading day requirement during the evaluation, according to the firm's own help centre. Two things are worth knowing about it before it is treated as a permanently available option.
Hex Funded's help centre states the Hex Lightning Challenge carries a 5% trailing max total drawdown and is available every other weekend only. The homepage product catalogue prints 6% for the same model. Both were read on 2026-09-07. Where a firm's marketing page and its documentation disagree, the documentation is the safer figure to plan around, and the difference here is a full percentage point of total risk budget.
Because the Lightning tier is sold only on alternating weekends and because its published drawdown figure is inconsistent between the firm's own two sources, PropFirmMap has deliberately held it out of the plan ladder rather than publish a figure it cannot state with confidence. The seven models in the table above are the ones available continuously.
Pros and cons
What works in Hex Funded's favour:
- Seven model and variant combinations across account sizes from $1.5K to $200K, all sold with no time limit on the evaluation, which gives a trader room to choose a risk structure rather than a single fixed product.
- A 90% standard profit split with an optional upgrade to 100% at checkout, above the 80% baseline common among the CFD firms in this price band.
- Two models, 2 Step Standard and 3 Step, use a static total drawdown floor rather than a trailing one, and neither carries a consistency rule for payout.
What to weigh against it:
- Total drawdown trails on five of the seven combinations, including both Instant Funding variants and both 1 Step variants, which is a materially tighter constraint than a static floor once an account moves into profit.
- The evaluation fee is refunded on the fourth successful profit-split payment rather than the first, so the cost is carried across four payout cycles.
- Hex Funded Ltd is a Saint Lucia corporation whose terms state that the company does not carry out any regulated activities, and the site states it is not intended for U.S. citizens or residents. Its TrustPilot score was 3.1 from 39 reviews when PropFirmMap checked on 2026-09-05.
How it compares
Hex Funded's cheapest plan is $11.00. The three published CFD firms on PropFirmMap with the closest entry prices, setting aside firms whose TrustPilot rating has been withdrawn, are Quant Tekel (Ascendx), NEOM Funded and Sway Funded, each at $10, which makes them the natural reference points on price.
| Firm | Lowest listed plan | Profit split | Payout cycle | TrustPilot (reviews) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hex Funded | $11.00 | 90%, up to 100% with the optional upgrade | Bi-weekly | 3.1 (39) |
| Quant Tekel (Ascendx) | $10 | 80%, up to 90% | 14 days, bi-weekly or on-demand by model | 3.8 (13,074) |
| NEOM Funded | $10 | 70% to 90% depending on model | Bi-weekly | 3.5 (833) |
| Sway Funded | $10 | 80% base, up to 90% with the 20/10 add-on | On demand | 4.1 (620) |
On headline profit split, Hex Funded's 90% standard rate sits above the 80% base that Quant Tekel and Sway Funded start from, and its optional 100% upgrade has no direct equivalent among the three, though NEOM Funded reaches 90% on its NEO ACCESS model and both Quant Tekel and Sway Funded reach 90% through upgrades. On payout cadence Hex Funded and NEOM Funded run bi-weekly, Quant Tekel varies by model, and Sway Funded offers on-demand withdrawals, which is a faster route to a first payout than Hex Funded's 14-day window.
The clearest gap runs the other way, and it is about evidence rather than terms. Hex Funded's TrustPilot score of 3.1 is the lowest of the four, and its 39-review sample is far smaller than Quant Tekel's 13,074, NEOM Funded's 833 or Sway Funded's 620. A 39-review sample can move substantially on a handful of new ratings, so the score is a weaker signal here than at the other three rather than simply a worse one. Traders weighing a higher headline split against a thinner public track record have a genuine trade-off to make.
Verdict
Hex Funded is a fit for traders who want to pick a risk structure deliberately rather than accept a single fixed product, and who value a 90% split with a route to 100%. The 2 Step Standard and 3 Step models are the ones to look at for a trader who wants a static total drawdown floor and no consistency rule, while the Pro variants trade a lower entry price for tighter daily drawdown and higher profit targets. The points to check before committing are the trailing drawdown on five of the seven models, the fee refund arriving on the fourth payout rather than the first, and a TrustPilot score of 3.1 drawn from a 39-review sample. Confirm the final checkout total independently, since the advertised discount rate and the rate applied at checkout did not match when we tested them.
