Every firm gets a 0–100 score combining four components. There is no "opinion" in this ranking — every input is publicly verifiable:
- Payout Speed (30 pts) — On-demand/daily = 30, weekly = 24, bi-weekly = 18, monthly = 10, "varies" = 14
- TrustPilot Rating (25 pts) — Scaled 0–5 stars to 0–25 points
- Safety Grade (20 pts) — A+ = 20, A = 17, B+ = 14, B = 12, C = 8, D = 5, F = 0
- Review Volume (15 pts) — Log-scaled (10 reviews = 5pts, 100 = 10pts, 1,000+ = 15pts). Review volume matters because 5 stars from 10 people is not the same as 4.5 stars from 50,000.
- Clean-Reputation Flag (10 pts) — 10 if TrustPilot is not flagged suspended, 0 if it is. 11 firms in our database currently carry suspended-by-TrustPilot flags and automatically forfeit these points.

If you judge a prop firm only by how fast it claims to pay, you will eventually get burned. Here's why the PropFirmMap leaderboard deliberately weights safety + review volume above raw speed:
1. "On-demand" is only meaningful if your payout request is approved. Several firms with "on-demand" marketing in 2024–2025 denied payouts at rates above 30% due to consistency rules, news-trading clauses, or weekend-holding violations buried in their T&Cs. Speed is meaningless when the answer is "no."
2. Review volume is the single strongest predictor of reliability. FundedNext has 65,092 TrustPilot reviews. FTMO has 41,718. The5ers has 23,802. These are numbers that cannot be faked at scale — you'd need to pay tens of thousands of unique emails to manipulate them, and TrustPilot's fraud detection catches those attempts. - Search "[firm name] payout denied" on Reddit. Look at r/propfirms and r/FuturesTrading from the last 90 days. Pattern matters more than individual complaints.
- Check their public Discord. If they don't have one or they delete payout-complaint threads, that's a signal.
- Verify the claimed payout method actually works. Test with the smallest possible first withdrawal. Any friction on a $50 test payout will be 100× worse on a $5,000 payout.
