Traders Connect vs Tradesyncer: Which Trade Copier Actually Fits a Prop Firm Account
Both Traders Connect and Tradesyncer are trade copiers, and the two comparison queries that actually reach our site (Traders Connect vs Tradesyncer, and each of them against PickMyTrade) show real search intent behind that pairing. But the two products are not aimed at the same trader. One is a MetaTrader-and-forex-broker tool with no stated prop-firm partnerships. The other names eight prop firms it claims to support, and when we checked those firms against our own database, one of the eight explicitly prohibits the exact behaviour the vendor is selling.
Tradesyncer names FundedNext as one of its eight supported prop firms. FundedNext's own trading rules, as recorded in our database with a source URL, list "copy trading between different traders" as a prohibited strategy. Of the other seven names on Tradesyncer's list, only Topstep has a sourced, confirmed "allowed" record in our data; five are unverified either way, and one (Lucid Trading) is marked allowed with no source citation on file.

Traders Connect: broker-side coverage, no stated prop-firm list
Traders Connect's ten supported platforms lean toward the retail forex broker world: MetaTrader 4 and 5, cTrader, Match Trader, TradeLocker and DXtrade sit alongside the futures-oriented NinjaTrader, Tradovate, ProjectX and Rithmic. Pricing is per connected account at $10/month, one-way copying only (master account to slave accounts, not the reverse), and the vendor states 20 ms average latency on its own pricing page. That figure is worth treating as a claim rather than a fact: it is a number the vendor publishes about itself, not a result from an independent, third-party benchmark, and our data has no way to verify it. We checked tradersconnect.com for any page naming supported or partnered prop firms and found none, so that field is recorded as unverified in our data, not as zero support. Tradesyncer: futures-first, and a named firm list that does not fully hold up
Tradesyncer's platform list has no MetaTrader entry at all; it is built around futures execution and charting platforms (NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Rithmic, ProjectX, Quantower, ATAS, Sierra Chart) plus TradingView. Its own prop-firm trade copier page names eight supported firms: Apex, Topstep, TopstepX, Take Profit Trader, Lucidtrading, Tradeify, MyFundedFutures and FundedNext. We checked each of the seven that map to a distinct row in our firms table against that firm's own copy_trading_allowed rule:
| Firm named by Tradesyncer | Our record of that firm's own copy-trading policy |
|---|---|
| Topstep | Allowed, sourced (help.topstep.com) |
| FundedNext | Not allowed, sourced. Prohibited strategies list explicitly names "copy trading between different traders" (help.fundednext.com) |
| Lucid Trading | Marked allowed on file, but no source URL recorded, unconfirmed here |
| Apex Trader Funding | Not recorded either way |
| Take Profit Trader | Not recorded either way |
| Tradeify | Not recorded either way |
| MyFundedFutures | Not recorded either way |
"TopstepX" is named separately from "Topstep" on Tradesyncer's own page; nothing in our data confirms whether that refers to the same firm under a platform name or a distinct entity, so it is left as plain text here rather than linked or merged with the Topstep row above.
The FundedNext result is the one that matters for a trader deciding based on this page alone: a vendor naming a firm as supported is a marketing claim, and that firm's own rules page is the only source that can confirm or contradict it. In this case they disagree, and the firm's rule is the one that governs your account, not the vendor's partner list.
What a copier's latency figure actually means
Traders Connect is the only one of the two publishing a latency number (20 ms), and it is worth being precise about what that number is. It is the time the vendor states its own system takes to mirror a trade, measured and reported by the vendor, on infrastructure the vendor controls, under conditions the vendor chooses. It is not a number measured by us, by the prop firm, or by any independent third party in our data. A vendor-stated latency figure can still be useful as a general order of magnitude, but it should not be read as a guaranteed execution time on your own connection, your own broker's server, or during a volatile news window.
Methodology
Every price, platform, feature flag and firm name above is read from our own tool_specs table, each row carrying the vendor's own source URL, checked live this session. Every named firm was checked against our own firms table by name match and against firm_trading_rules.copy_trading_allowed with its own source_url; fields with no boolean recorded are reported as "not recorded either way" rather than assumed to be a yes or a no. Values with a boolean set but no source_url on the row are reported as unconfirmed rather than treated as verified.
Disclosure
PropFirmMap is not a commercial partner of Traders Connect or Tradesyncer. Neither pays us a commission, and nothing in this comparison is affected by partnership status.
Frequently asked questions
Is Tradesyncer allowed at FundedNext?
Our data shows FundedNext's own trading rules explicitly prohibit copy trading between different traders, which contradicts Tradesyncer naming FundedNext as a supported firm on its own site. Confirm directly with FundedNext before connecting any copier to a live account there.
Does Traders Connect work with prop firm accounts?
It connects to several futures platforms used by prop firms (NinjaTrader, Tradovate, ProjectX, Rithmic), but it does not publish a list of supported or approved prop firms anywhere we could find, so firm-level approval is unverified in our data rather than confirmed.
Which copier is cheaper?
Traders Connect is $10 per connected account per month; Tradesyncer is $49 per month flat. Which is cheaper depends entirely on how many accounts you are copying to, since Traders Connect's price scales per account and Tradesyncer's does not.
Can I trust a vendor's own claimed latency figure?
Treat it as a vendor-reported number, not an independent benchmark. Our data has no third-party measurement to confirm or contradict a vendor's own latency claim for either tool.
