Imperial Trader Funding Review: Plans, Rules, and How It Compares

Imperial Trader Funding Imperial Trader Funding

Imperial Trader Funding is a United States proprietary trading firm operated by Imperial Funding LLC. It is built around US equities and options, with CME futures available through a Rithmic add-on, and trading takes place on the firm's own in-house platform. Its terms of service are governed by the laws of the State of California, with jurisdiction in Orange County. The firm sells three separate programs rather than a single evaluation: Elite, a one-step evaluation; Foundation, a two-step evaluation; and Instant, which places a trader into a simulated funded account with no evaluation at all. At the time of writing its TrustPilot profile shows 3.3 from 48 reviews, and the firm is not regulated by any financial authority.

This review covers what the firm charges, what each program requires, how payouts work, and how the pricing sits against the other stock-focused firms in our directory. Every figure below was read from the firm's live storefront and help centre on 3 September 2026.

Plans and pricing

All three programs are sold as a one-time payment. The prices below are the amounts shown on the firm's plan cards with its published coupon IMPERIAL10 applied, which we entered at the firm's own checkout validator on 3 September 2026 and confirmed returns 10% off on Elite, Foundation and Instant. The struck-through list price is shown alongside for reference.

Elite: one-step evaluation

Elite runs on an end-of-day trailing drawdown and carries no daily loss limit. The consistency requirement is 33%, and the evaluation fee is refunded on funding.

$25,000$175$194$2,500$1,750$200

$1,000,000$2,924$3,249$150,000$50,000$3,000

The $1M Elite account includes Futures (Rithmic) as a required add-on that cannot be removed, which is why its card price sits above the rest of the ladder, and it carries a contract limit of 55 Mini and 550 Micro.

Foundation: two-step evaluation

Foundation uses a static drawdown, meaning the account floor is anchored to the starting balance and does not trail upward as the account grows. It adds a daily loss limit set at 50% of the maximum drawdown, and the consistency requirement is 33%.

Instant: funded from day one

Instant accounts skip the evaluation entirely. They run on an end-of-day trailing drawdown with a daily loss limit of 50%, use a tighter 15% consistency requirement, and carry no reset fee. The fee is refunded on a successful transition to the Live environment.

Rules and payouts

Tradable instruments are limited. The firm restricts trading to NYSE and NASDAQ listed stocks priced above $5.00 with more than 1,000,000 average daily volume, and to equity and index options on strikes with open interest of 500 or greater. Futures are available through the Rithmic add-on.

Passing an evaluation does not lead directly to live capital. Traders enter a Sim-Funded stage first. In that stage a 7% profit buffer must be earned before any withdrawal is possible, and once the 7% threshold is reached the account floor is set at 1% above the starting balance. A trader may withdraw up to 50% of available profit above the threshold, and the maximum total withdrawal allowed in the Sim-Funded stage is 7% of the initial account balance. Once that total has been withdrawn, a risk manager evaluates the trader for transition to the Live environment, no new funded accounts may be activated, and any evaluation accounts still active are refunded.

In the Live environment the 33% consistency rule is removed, 100% of profits above the threshold may be withdrawn, and there are no withdrawal maximums. The Live profit split is not standardised: the firm states each live trader receives a bespoke consultancy agreement.

Key takeaway

Sim-Funded payout requests can be made every 3 valid trading days, Live traders may request at the end of every logged trading day, and Instant accounts request every 6 valid trading days. In any environment, a minimum of $500 can be requested. Approved payouts are batched and sent through RISE every Friday.

Transfer fees, including currency conversion, wire fees and platform fees, are set by RISE and vary by country and payment method. The firm states it deducts no desk or data fees from payouts.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Every program is a one-time payment, and the evaluation fee is refunded on funding for Elite and Foundation, or on transition to Live for Instant.
  • The Elite program carries no daily loss limit, and overnight holds are permitted on the plan cards we read.
  • Stocks, options and futures can be traded in one account, and three different rule structures are offered rather than a single evaluation format.

Cons

  • At $158, the cheapest way in is the highest entry price of the four stock-focused firms in our directory.
  • The firm is not regulated by any financial authority, and its terms are governed by California law with jurisdiction in Orange County.
  • The firm's storefront and its help centre do not agree on one published figure: the $50,000 Elite plan card states a $5,500 profit target, while the help centre article on rules per account type states a 10% target of $5,000 for the same plan.

How it compares

Imperial Trader Funding is one of four stock-focused firms currently listed on PropFirmMap. None of the four charges a separate activation fee, so the entry prices below are directly comparable all-in figures.

FirmEntry priceProfit splitTrustPilot
Trade The Pool$4770% eval, up to 80% funded4.5 from 807 reviews
trader2B$66Up to 99%3.2 from 78 reviews
Vanquish Trader$99100%3.9 from 113 reviews
Imperial Trader Funding$15890% Elite, 80% Foundation and Instant3.3 from 48 reviews

On price alone Imperial Trader Funding sits at the upper end of this group, at more than three times the cost of entry at Trade The Pool and $59 above Vanquish Trader. Its headline profit split of 90% on Elite is higher than Trade The Pool's, though both trader2B and Vanquish Trader advertise higher splits again. Its review base is also the smallest of the four at 48 reviews, which means its 3.3 rating rests on less evidence than the others.

The more meaningful difference is structural. Trade The Pool, trader2B and Vanquish Trader each sell a single evaluation route. Imperial Trader Funding sells three, including an instant-funding option that removes the evaluation entirely, and it is the only one of the four to bundle futures access alongside equities and options.

Verdict

Imperial Trader Funding is a reasonable fit for traders who want US equities and options under one account, who prefer a one-time fee with a refund on funding, and who specifically want either a one-step evaluation with no daily loss limit or an instant-funding route that skips evaluation altogether. The 33% consistency rule and the tradable-instrument restrictions mean it suits traders whose strategies spread profit across multiple sessions and who trade liquid, higher-priced listings.

It is a weaker fit for traders working to a tight budget, since three cheaper stock-focused options are listed here, and for traders who want to reach withdrawable live capital quickly, since the Sim-Funded stage caps lifetime withdrawals at 7% of the initial balance before a risk manager review takes place. Traders who place weight on regulatory oversight or on a large public review base should note that the firm is unregulated and that its TrustPilot profile currently holds 48 reviews.
