Goat Funded Trader Review 2026: 62 Challenges, Up to 100% Profit Split - TrustPilot Currently Suspended
Goat Funded Trader burst onto the prop trading scene in 2023 and built one of the highest TrustPilot ratings in the industry along the way. As of our most recent check (2026-08-25), however, that TrustPilot profile is showing as suspended - the rating is no longer publicly visible. We cover what that means for trust and reputation later in this review.
But does a high trust score translate to a great trading experience? In this data-driven review, we break down everything you need to know about Goat Funded Trader - their challenge structure, pricing, platforms, drawdown rules, and how they compare to the competition.

Challenge Structure: 62 Options Across Four Evaluation Types
Goat Funded Trader's lineup has grown since launch: it now runs 62 challenges across four evaluation types - Instant, 1-Step, 2-Step, and 3-Step - with several offering multiple pricing tiers at the same account size. This review focuses on the 1-Step and 2-Step lines, the two most popular types; see the live firm page for current Instant and 3-Step pricing. Where a size has more than one tier, the lowest available price is shown below.
2-Step Challenges (starting price by size)
| Account Size | Starting Price | With BOGO40 (40% Off) | Profit Split |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $36 | $21.60 | 80% |
| $8,000 | $56 | $33.60 | 80% |
| $15,000 | $98 | $58.80 | 80% |

1-Step Challenges (starting price by size)
| Account Size | Starting Price | With BOGO40 (40% Off) | Profit Split |
|---|---|---|---|
| $2,500 | $47 | $28.20 | 80% |
| $5,000 | $77 | $46.20 | 80% |
| $10,000 | $117 | $70.20 | 80% |
| $15,000 | $178 | $106.80 | 80% |
| $25,000 | $247 | $148.20 | 80% |
| $50,000 | $358 | $214.80 | 80% |
| $100,000 | $617 | $370.20 | 80% |
| $200,000 | $1,098 | $658.80 | 80% |
The cheapest entry point is now the $2,500 1-Step at $47 - or $28.20 with the BOGO40 promo code (40% off all challenges, unrestricted). For context, FTMO's cheapest challenge starts at $1,080, and Alpha Capital Group's cheapest is $110.
What Makes the 1-Step Different from the 2-Step?
The 1-Step evaluation requires you to hit a single profit target to get funded, while the 2-Step has two phases with typically lower targets per phase. Both use the same 3% daily / 6% max drawdown rules.
Pricing has shifted since Goat expanded its lineup: the 2-Step is now cheaper than the 1-Step at every matching account size we checked, which is the more typical pattern (more steps, lower price) rather than the reverse. For example, the $100K 2-Step starts at $458 versus $617 for the $100K 1-Step - a $159 gap. The two types converge only at $200K, where both start at $1,098.

Drawdown Rules: Static and Straightforward
Goat Funded Trader uses a static drawdown model:
- Daily drawdown: 3% of account balance
- Maximum drawdown: 6% of initial balance (static - doesn't trail)
Static drawdown is generally considered more trader-friendly than trailing drawdown. With trailing drawdown, your threshold moves up as your equity grows, meaning a winning streak paradoxically makes it easier to get stopped out. Goat's 6% static floor stays where it is.
That said, the 3% daily limit is tighter than some competitors. Alpha Capital Group allows 4% daily (static), and several futures firms like Phoenix Trader Funding have no daily drawdown at all.
Use our drawdown calculator to model exactly how many consecutive losing trades you can sustain at your typical risk-per-trade before hitting Goat's 3%/6% limits.
Platforms: MT5, cTrader, and TradeLocker
Goat Funded Trader supports three trading platforms:
- MetaTrader 5 (MT5) - The industry standard. 24 prop firms on our platform support MT5, making it the most widely available platform.
- cTrader - Increasingly popular for its cleaner interface and better charting. Also supported by FTMO, Alpha Capital Group, and FundedNext.
- TradeLocker - A newer platform gaining traction. If you're already comfortable with TradeLocker, Goat is one of the firms that supports it.
Three platform choices is above average. Many firms still offer only MT5 (like OneFunded), or MT4/MT5 without newer alternatives. Having cTrader in the mix is a meaningful differentiator for traders who prefer its execution model.
Profit Split: 80% to 100%
Goat Funded Trader starts you at an 80% profit split and offers a path up to 100%. Here's how that stacks up:
| Firm | Starting Split | Maximum Split | TrustPilot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goat Funded Trader | 80% | 100% | Suspended |
| FTMO | 80% | 80% | 4.8 |
| Alpha Capital Group | 80% | 80% | 4.7 |
| FundedNext | 60% | 90% | 4.5 |
| FXIFY | 90% | 90% | 4.4 |
| Funded Trading Plus | 80% | 80% | 4.4 |
The 100% profit split potential is a major draw. While 6 firms on our platform currently offer 100% splits (see our full 100% split comparison), Goat is currently the only one of them with a suspended TrustPilot profile - worth weighing against the split itself.
FTMO caps at 80% but carries a verified 4.8 TrustPilot rating from nearly 50,000 reviews. FundedNext offers up to 90% but starts at a lower 60%. FXIFY gives you 90% out of the gate with no scaling plan beyond that.
Active Promo Codes
As of 2026-08-26, Goat Funded Trader has two active promotional offers, both verified live at checkout:
- BOGO40 - 40% off all challenges, no restrictions. This brings the $100K 1-Step from $617 down to $370.20, and the cheapest $2,500 1-Step to $28.20.
- FIRSTGFT - 50% off for first-time traders only. On the same $2,500 1-Step, that works out to $23.50, if you qualify.
The seasonal EASTER50 code referenced in earlier versions of this review is no longer active. Check our deals page for all currently active prop firm discount codes, or use the challenge cost calculator to compare after-discount pricing across all firms.
Trust and Reputation: TrustPilot Profile Currently Suspended
Goat Funded Trader built a strong TrustPilot rating in its early years, but as of our most recent check (2026-08-25), its TrustPilot profile shows as suspended - the star rating and review count are no longer publicly visible. We can't tell you what the rating is right now, and neither can TrustPilot's own page. Suspensions are TrustPilot's call, not ours, and we don't have visibility into the reason.
A few things worth weighing while that profile is down:
- Young firm: Established in 2023, Goat has less than 3 years of operating history. FTMO has been around since 2015.
- No public review trail right now: With the profile suspended, there's no way to independently check recent reviews on TrustPilot before signing up.
- Refundable fees: Goat advertises 100% refundable challenge fees, which historically tends to generate positive reviews even from traders who didn't pass the challenge.
Our own PFM Score for Goat currently sits at 4.6/10, with a Safety Grade of D. That score weighs multiple factors beyond TrustPilot - including verified user reviews on our platform, vote counts, pricing competitiveness, payout speed, and platform diversity - so it doesn't move or freeze just because a third-party review site does.
Who Should Consider Goat Funded Trader?
Based on our analysis, Goat Funded Trader is a strong fit for:
- Budget-conscious traders - A sub-$30 entry point with the current BOGO40 code is hard to beat. If you're testing the prop firm waters, the financial risk is minimal.
- Traders who want platform choice - MT5, cTrader, and TradeLocker gives you flexibility most firms don't.
- Profit-maximizers - The path to 100% profit split means you eventually keep everything you earn.
- Swing traders and position holders - The static 6% max drawdown doesn't trail, which gives more breathing room for longer-term positions.
Who Might Want to Look Elsewhere?
- Traders who prioritize established track records - If longevity is your top criterion, FTMO (2015) or Earn2Trade (2017) have longer histories. Check our how to choose a prop firm guide for a full decision framework.
- Futures traders - Goat is CFD only. For futures, look at Apex Trader Funding, Topstep, or MyFundedFutures (see our futures vs forex comparison).
- Traders who need fast payouts - Bi-weekly payouts are average. Several firms now offer daily (Topstep, Tradeify, WeMasterTrade) or even same-day (Elite Trader Funding) payouts.
Head-to-Head: Goat Funded Trader vs FTMO
Goat undercuts FTMO heavily on price and offers a higher ceiling on profit split, but the two now diverge sharply on trust signals. Here's how they compare directly:
| Factor | Goat Funded Trader | FTMO | Winner |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cheapest Challenge | $47 ($28.20 with BOGO40) | $1,080 | Goat |
| Max Profit Split | 100% | 80% | Goat |
| Daily Drawdown | 3% | Balance-based | - |
| Max Drawdown | 6% static | 10% | FTMO |
| Platforms | MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker | MT4, MT5, cTrader, DXTrade | FTMO (4 vs 3) |
| Payout | Bi-Weekly | Every 14 Days | Tie |
| Established | 2023 | 2015 | FTMO |
| TrustPilot | Suspended | 4.8 (49,993 reviews) | FTMO |
| Refundable Fee | Yes (100%) | Yes (on first payout) | Tie |
Goat wins on price and profit split potential. FTMO wins on track record, drawdown allowance, platform count, and trust signals right now. For a full interactive comparison, use our head-to-head comparison tool.
The Bottom Line
Goat Funded Trader offers a compelling package on paper: a clear path to 100% profit split, three modern platforms, and challenge pricing that undercuts most established competitors by a wide margin - especially with the BOGO40 promo code bringing the entry point under $30. But the TrustPilot suspension we found during this review is a real, current trust signal that didn't exist the last time we checked this firm, and it deserves equal weight to the pricing.
The main risks are youth and that suspended profile. A 2023-founded firm doesn't have the decade-plus track record of FTMO or the institutional backing of some larger operations, and right now there's no public third-party review trail to lean on either. The tight 3% daily drawdown may also frustrate aggressive intraday traders. For cost-conscious traders comfortable doing their own due diligence beyond TrustPilot, the price, platform variety, and profit split potential still make Goat worth a look - just go in with eyes open on the trust side.
